Join Morgan for 8 days and 7 nights to explore the Galapagos Islands. Each day we will not only practice yoga daily but explore the many islands of the Galapagos. This is more than just a yoga retreat; it is a bucket list trip of a lifetime. Come together for shared yoga (meditation, reflection, upbeat flow classes, and workshop-like alignment practices), animal and water adventures, amazing connections, and an opportunity to discover the unique world of the Galapagos.

The archipelago is a group of 19 islands (13 large and 6 small) that is an iconic tourist destination. Its closet point to mainland is 600 miles from the west coast of Ecuador. It features some of the world’s most unique and endemic wildlife species, like the Galapagos giant tortoise, Galapagos penguin, blue footed booby, Darwin's finches.
Temperatures in the Galapagos Islands in April are very pleasantly warm with plenty of sunshine hours. On average there are 6.8 hours of sunshine per day in April. This makes packing of a good, high factor sunscreen, a sun hat and sunglasses a must during this month. April is one of the warmest months of the year and given proximity to the Equator, it is best to keep skin protected to ensure you enjoy your vacation. Minimum and maximum average temperatures in April usually fall on average between 72-88°F.
Rainfall drops significantly in April. On average, April sees 57mm of rainfall during the month. It rains relatively infrequently and when it does, this can be a pleasant change from the hot sun. It is worth being prepared for rain and bringing a raincoat just in case, but it probably will not be needed every day. There are, on average, seven days of rain in April annually. One of the benefits of coming at the start of the dry season in April is that the islands tend to be green and lush – a treat for the eyes that is not seen later in the year as the dry season marches on.
The average sea temperature in April is 77°F or 25°C. This is very tolerable for most people to enjoy being in the water without a wetsuit.
About Semilla Verde Boutique Hotel
Semilla Verde is situated on the fertile slopes of an ancient and extinct volcano in the rural uplands of Santa Cruz Island that itself is located in the heart of the Galapagos Archipelago that lies six-hundred miles west of Ecuador in the Pacific Ocean, South America.
The lodge exists in the fresh, humid ‘scalesia’ zone, two hundred plus meters above sea level and 12 km from the dock in Puerto Ayora (12-15 minutes by taxi). There is considerably more rainfall than the lowlands, hence the abundance of greenery, but offers a fresh respite from the scorching equatorial sun. And, pure pacific rainwater showers!
The grounds of Semilla Verde comprise twelve acres (five hectares) of private forest replanted with endemic and native trees, under which organic, shade grown ‘conservation coffee’ is growing.
The lodge is nestled within this forest and has balconies and terraces that peer out over the top of it, with majestic, panoramic views to the Galapagos National Park, Galapagos Marine Reserve and outlying islands.
Included is daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner (1-2 meals at local restaurants). Vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, and gluten free can be accommodated.
Fly into mainland Ecuador--either Quito or Guayaquil. From there you will take a regional flight to Baltra, Galapagos. More information will be provided in terms of specifications for flying to the islands. A group transfer from the Baltra airport to Semilla Verde Boutique Hotel is included.
