Retreat in Chiang Mai and Phuket, Thailand
Spend 9 days and 8 nights in Thailand. Our home away from home will be the 5 Star Michelin Rated Akaryn Hotel Group. We will begin the retreat in Chiang Mai and then travel to Phuket for another 4 nights at their sister property. We will have 1-2 yoga pratices (on non-travel days), as well as group excursions (and the ability to explore on your own). It's a unique experience that will make memories that last a lifetime.
What to Expect
Retreat
Spend 9 days and 8 nights in Thailand--first in Chiang Mai and then in Phuket. Enjoy daily yoga, food, culture, and group activities! At Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai the retreat will focus on yoga, culture, Thai traditional wellness, local discovery, and a gentler city retreat experience. As the resort is located closer to town, you can also enjoy some evenings exploring Chiang Mai’s restaurants, markets, and cultural life. At Aleenta Phuket-Phang Nga you will enjoy yoga and the beach, as well as exploration of a local island. From serene landscapes to vibrant local culture, each experience at Aleenta Phuket reveals a deeper connection to the rhythms, stories, and spirit of Phang Nga and the Andaman coast. At your own pace, always on your own terms.
Accommodations
You will be staying at two different hotels with the 5 Star Michelin Rated Akaryn Hotel Group. We will begin our time in Thailand at Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai in Deluxe Balcony Rooms. Once we move to Phuket we will be staying in Grand Deluxe Pool Villas at Aleenta Retreat Phuket Phang-Nga.
Sustenance
Included is daily breakfast and dinner.
Travel
Fly into the Chiang Mai and depart from the Phuket airport. Group transfers from the Chiang Mai airport to the hotel on the arrival day will be arranged and are included for this retreat. On the 5th day we will be transferred back to the Chiang Mai airport. From there we will take a regional flight to Phuket (the price of the domestic flight is NOT included in the retreat price). From the Phuket Airport transfer will be arranged and included to the resort. On the departing day we will be transferred back to the Phuket airport (included).

- Temple Visit
- With its long history as an independent kingdom, Chiang Mai has preserved much of Thailand’s cultural heritage. The city’s charm can be seen in its canals, historical landmarks, and traditional architecture. We will visit some of Chiang Mai's beautiful and historic temples.
- Elephant Sanctuary
- Spend a memorable day with gentle giants responsibly and ethically. At Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, you’ll learn about elephant care, feed them by hand, and watch them play freely in their natural environment. Enjoy the chance to walk alongside, bath, and interact with these incredible animals while supporting their wellbeing and conservation. A unique experience combining nature, culture, and unforgettable encounters.
- Boat trip to Phi Phi Islands (or similar)
- Take a shared boat ride to Bamboo island where we will enjoy relaxing and swimming. Then experience vibrant snorkeling near Bamboo Island or Phi Phi Don. We will then continue to Shark Point for a second snorkeling session and a delicious buffet. We will continue on to other beaches, caves, and lagoons--ending at the stunning Maya Bay.

- You will be instructed which flight to purchase for Day 5 of the retreat. You must purchase a seat on the correct flight in order to be included in the group transfer.

Pricing
- $500 non-refundable deposit holds your spot
- Please submit your deposit and follow it with an email to info@suryayogastudio.com with your room request. If you have someone you want to room with, please let us know in the email. If you would like a double occupancy room but don't have a chosen roommate, we will do our best to pair you with someone. Please note that if we do not find you a roommate, you will be responsible for the room at the single occupancy rate.
- Within one week of placing your deposit and email, you will receive a waiver of liability and retreat terms and conditions via DocuSign.
- Once the document is signed and we have confirmed your room, you are fully booked.
- Payment plans are available.
- 50% balance due March 1, 2028
- Remaining balance due June 1, 2028

Accommodations
Your home base in both Chiang Mai and Phuket will be 5 Star resorts of the Akaryn Hotel Group. Enjoy a Deluxe Balcony Room in Chiang Mai and a Grand Deluxe Pool Villa in Phuket. Single and Double Occupancy are available. Double occupancy can have a king bed or two twins.
